Add lesson form

This popup form can be accessed via the Add menu iconadd menu in the top header area of the selected asset view page (e.g. Contact details iconorganisation, Programme iconprogramme, Project iconproject, Subproject iconsub-projectRisk map iconrisk or issues iconissue view pages, as shown in Figure 1. Alternatively you can access the Add iconadd popup form at the bottom of the Lessons tab at these same view pages, as shown in Figure 2.

This popup is shown in Figure 3 and is used to add a new Lesson maps iconlesson for the selected asset.

This form has the following fields:
Parent asset:This read-only field shows which organisation, programme, project, sub-project, risk or issue you are adding this lesson to.
Reference*:You must enter a unique reference for this lesson. NOTE: this must be unique across the whole of the parent asset. If you enter a prefix and end it with one or more zeros,e.g. L_00 then you can click on the Reference icon“Find next reference” button to search for the next available reference number with the same prefix and number of digits. If your adding to a project that has a Project Code then this will be used as the default reference.
Category*:Use this drop-down list to select a category for this new lesson.
(New category):This field will only be available if you have selected the “Add a new category” in the Category field above. Here you can add a new category for this new lesson to belong to.
Title*:Enter a short title for this new lesson here.
Description*:Enter a longer description for this new lesson here.
Impact(s)*:Use this drop-down list to select if this lesson had a positive or negative impact.
Recommendation(s):Enter any recommendations from this lesson here.
Add more lessons:Leave this check box selected if you’d like to keep the form open and add more lessons to this asset once this current lesson has been created.
NOTE: You will not be able to add this lesson until all of the mandatory fields (reference, category, title, description and impact) have been filled in.Once you are happy with your entries click the “Add lesson” button at the bottom of the form. This will add this new lesson with the details that have been supplied.The new lesson can be viewed in a number of locations, including the Lessons tab at the parent asset’s view page, as shown in Figure 4. Alternatively you can view the new lesson from the parent asset’s dashboard in the Open Lessons dashlet, as shown in Figure 5.

Click the “Cancel” button if you no longer want to add this new lesson.
