Psoda Time Tutorial

 

Psoda Time is an app that makes time sheeting easier and faster. With Psoda Time, you only have to worry about logging into the app and not into Psoda itself. Psoda Time sends all the timesheet information to Psoda where your managers can approve, reject or comment. You can then view the approval, rejection or comments inside Psoda Time. This makes it easier and faster for timesheet users as you don’t need to use Psoda itself.

Getting started:

To use Psoda time, visit https://www.psoda.com/PsodaTime on your desktop. It would be a good idea to bookmark this page so it’s easy to get back to. The app will run as a normal web page, however once you are logged in, you can enter data while you are offline.

Logging in:

First, enter your Psoda details on the log in page and click “log in”. If you have forgotten your password click the forgot password button. If you have forgotten both your username and password, please contact your system administrator.

If this is your first-time logging in, the app will sync any time sheets that have been updated within the past 4 weeks. This will only take a moment, and when it’s done, you’ll be able to start.

Adding a task:

To add a task to your timesheet, click on the green plus button on the top left. Once you click it, it will give you a list of tasks that have been allocated to you by your manager. If a task that you need is not there, please contact your manager to get it added. Once you click the task you want to add time to, click add task and it will appear on your timesheet.

Adding time:

To add time to your timesheet, click on the appropriate cell under the day you want to add time to. Use either 6.5 or 6:30 to indicate hours and minutes. In this example the user would have done 6 and a half hours.

Submitting a timesheet:

To submit a timesheet, click the submit button at the bottom of the page. This will submit your timesheet for the week that you are on. You will then get a pop up confirming if you want to submit it. Once you have done this, the status will change to “please synchronise”. This means you will need to sync your timesheet to complete the submission.

Synchronising:

When you get the status “please synchronise” and you’re connected to the internet, press the sync button at the bottom of the page and that will send the data to the Psoda application itself. It will also send data from Psoda to Psoda Time. It is a good idea to make sure you sync as often as you can, so that any new tasks allocated to you, will appear in Psoda Time.

Retracting a timesheet:

If you have submitted your timesheet and find that something was wrong or you forgot to add something in, then click retract to un-submit your timesheet. Once you have done this, the status will change to “please synchronise”. This means you need to sync the app to complete the retraction. You can then make the appropriate changes. Remember to re-submit and re-sync your timesheet once you’ve made the changes.

Viewing task details:

If you need to view the task details, press inside the task box. It will raise a pop-up with the task details inside of it.

Adding or viewing the task comments:

If you need to add or view the comments, press the comments button next to the task you want to view. It will raise a pop-up with the task comments inside of it. If you want to add a comment, type in your comment and press post. It will show the most recent comment at the bottom.

Viewing tutorial or logging out:

Lastly, if you want to view this tutorial page again or log out of the app, click the burger menu at the top right. Psoda will keep you logged in even if you close the app or browser, unless you click log out.
