e-LM now supports RSS feeds. This means that you can use your favourite news reader, NewsFox or Google news gadget, to see the last updates or additions that were made on a programme, project or sub-project.
The e-LM RSS feed includes:
- The last few updates that were made to the selected programme, project or sub-project
- A list of any new items that were added to the programme, project or sub-project
- A list of updates that were made to existing items within the programme, project or sub-project
The RSS feed is secure and requires your username and password to access. It also uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) to encrypt the feed between our server and your news reader. This means that nobody else will be able to intercept your sensitive project information in the feed data.
Access the RSS feed
To get the RSS feed for a particular project, navigate to the project’s view page. You will notice a new button for the RSS feed in the toolbar at the top of the page. A similar button is available on the programme and sub-project view pages.
The RSS feed is configured for the news reader to cache the news items for 15 minutes. This means that you will normally only see items that are older than 15 minutes. If you want to force an update you can use your reader’s update option.
