Copy project form

This popup form can be accessed via the Project iconproject view page Options menu iconoptions menu in the top header area, as shown in Figure 1.

This form can be used to Copy iconcopy a project and all of its contents to another programme or organisation, or into the same current area but with a different name.You can use the Copy Project function is one of two ways:
  • Copy a template project to a new location
  • Create a baseline of the project

Use the tree navigation layout to select the parent programme or organisation that needs a copy of this project. You can show or hide levels or sub-levels by clicking on the expand nav iconexpand or collapse iconcollapse icons.Select the name of your desired parent programme or organisation. Note: names with a pink background cannot be selected.Below this tree navigation section you will be presented with the following fields:
Name*:This is a mandatory field that must contain the project’s original name, or can be edited so that the copied project name differs from the original. The name must be unique within the destination programme or organisation.
Workflow:Use this drop-down list to select a Workflow iconworkflow for this project copy.
Copy state history:Check this box if you would like to copy all of this project’s state history into the new project copy.
Once you are happy with your entries click the “Copy project” button at the bottom of the form. This will copy the project, renaming it if required, and all of its content to the selected programme or organisation.Click the “Cancel” button if you no longer wish to copy the project.
