This popup<\/a> form can be accessed via the \"Add<\/a>add menu in the top header area of the\u00a0selected\u00a0asset<\/a> view page (e.g.\u00a0 \"Contact<\/a>organisation<\/a>, \"Programme<\/a>programme<\/a> or \"Project<\/a>project<\/a>), as shown in Figure 1. Alternatively you can access the \"Add<\/a>add popup form at the bottom of the Contracts<\/strong> tab at these same view pages, as shown in Figure 2.\r\n

Parent asset:<\/th>\r\nThis read-only<\/em> field shows which programme or project you are adding this new contract to.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Reference*<\/em><\/sup>:<\/th>\r\nUse this field to enter a reference<\/a> for this new contract. If you enter a prefix and end it with one or more zeros, e.g. C_00, then you can click on the \"Reference<\/a>“Find next reference” button to search for the next available reference number with the same prefix and number of digits. If your project has a Project Code then this will be used as the default reference.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Category:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down to select a category for this contract.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
(New category name):<\/th>\r\nIf you have selected the “Add new category” option in the category <\/strong>field above, you will be presented with this field where you can add a new category to group this contract under.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Title:<\/th>\r\nEnter a short title for this new contract here.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Description:<\/th>\r\nEnter a longer description of this new contract here.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Vendor:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down to select a vendor for this contract.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
(New vendor name):<\/th>\r\nIf you have selected the “Add new vendor” option in the vendor <\/strong>field above, you will be presented with this field where you can add a new vendor to allocate to this contract.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n

Add more contracts:<\/th>\r\nLeave this check box selected if you would like to keep this form open and add more contracts to this asset once the current contract has been created.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n*<\/em><\/sup>The reference is mandatory,but all others are optional.\r\n\r\nIf you accidentally try to add a contract with the same reference as an existing contract in your project then you will get a warning message.\r\n\r\nOnce you are happy with your entries click the “Add contract<\/strong>” button at the bottom of the form. This will add a new contract with the details that you supplied.\r\n\r\nThe new contract can be viewed in a number of locations, including the Contract<\/strong>s<\/strong> tab at the parent asset’s view page, as shown in Figure 4. Alternatively you can view the new contract from the parent asset’s dashboard<\/strong> in the Open Contracts<\/strong> dashlet, as shown in Figure 5.\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n
