This popup<\/a> form can be accessed via the \"Add<\/a>add menu in the top header area of the \"icon_user\"<\/a>user view page<\/a> or the logged in user’s “My Stuff<\/strong>” view page, as shown in Figure 1. Alternatively, you can access the \"Add<\/a>add popup form at the bottom of the Leave applications<\/strong> tab at these same view pages, as shown in Figure 2.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n

Adding a \"Leave<\/a>leave application<\/a> is done in two phases, the first is shown in Figure 3 below.<\/p>\r\n

Figure 3 – Add leave application form (phase 1)\r\n<\/strong><\/p>\r\nPhase 1<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThis first phase allows you to enter the details for the leave. The first phase popup contains the following fields:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
User:<\/th>\r\nThis read-only<\/em> field shows which user you are adding this new leave application for.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Task:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to select the \"Task<\/a>task<\/a> that this new leave application relates to. Only non-billable, sick leave or annual leave tasks will be shown in the list.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Start date*<\/em><\/sup>:<\/th>\r\nAssign the start date for this new leave application here. You may enter the date manually using one of the preset date formats<\/a> or select the date using \"choose<\/a>calendar control<\/a>.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Start at noon?:<\/th>\r\nSelect this check box if you want to assign this leave to start at noon.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
End date*<\/em><\/sup>:<\/th>\r\nAssign the end date for this new leave application here. You may enter the date manually using one of the preset date formats<\/a> or select the date using \"choose<\/a>calendar control<\/a>.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
End at noon?:<\/th>\r\nSelect this check box if you want to assign this leave to end at noon.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Workflow:<\/th>\r\nSelect the applicable \"Workflow<\/a>workflow<\/a> for this leave application. This field will only be visible if you have access to any leave application workflows. If you do not want any workflow applied to this leave application then you can select the ‘None’ option.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n*The start and end date fields are mandatory.\r\n\r\nSelect the “Next<\/strong>” button at the bottom of this popup to move into the next phase.\r\n\r\nPhase 2<\/strong>\r\n

\"\"<\/a>\r\nFigure 4 – Add leave application form (phase 2)<\/strong><\/p>\r\nIn the second step you can confirm that the entered information from the first phase is correct. This phase has the following additional fields, as seen in Figure 4, that show up in the popup form:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Number of leave days:<\/th>\r\nThis read-only<\/em> field is shows the number of days calculated for the selected leave. If there are any holidays in the same period then they are listed below.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Add more leave applications:<\/th>\r\nSelect this check box if you would like to keep this form open and add more leave applications to the selected user once the current leave application has been created.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\nOnce you are happy with your selection click the “Add leave application<\/strong>” button at the bottom of the form. This will add the new leave application with the information that you supplied.\r\n\r\nThe new leave application can be viewed in a number of locations, including the Leave application<\/strong>s<\/strong> tab at the user’s view page, as shown in Figure 5. Alternatively you can view the new leave application from the user’s dashboard<\/strong> in the Leave applications<\/strong> dashlet, as shown in Figure 6.\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n
