The Budgets module can be used to keep track of \"Budget<\/a>budget details for a particular \"Programme<\/a>programme<\/a>, \"Project<\/a>project<\/a>, \"Subproject<\/a>sub-project<\/a> or \"Change<\/a>change request<\/a>. This includes budget baselines per month, \"budget<\/a>budget items<\/a> and groupings and also actual costs.\r\n\r\nThe budget is dependent on two attributes of the parent asset<\/a>:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Start date<\/th>\r\nIf the asset start date is set then the month intervals for the budget will be based on that start date.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Budget intervals<\/th>\r\nThe number of months allowed in the budget<\/a> is set using this asset<\/a> attribute.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\nA budget can have multiple budget items<\/a>. Each budget item<\/a> contains the baselines of costs for that item.\r\n\r\nBudget items<\/a> can be grouped into sub-groups of the budget, down to as many levels as is required. The baselines from the items are summed into the sub-group; and ultimately into the budget.\r\n\r\nAn asset<\/a> can have multiple budgets, e.g. different version during the planning phase. The budgets are treated independently and are not summed together. If a budget is no longer required it may be archived if a history needs to be maintained or deleted if no history is required.\r\n\r\nA \"Workflow<\/a>workflow<\/a> can also be selected for each budget. When you \"Add<\/a>add the budget<\/a> you can select the Standard Budget Workflow<\/strong>, or you can \"Add<\/a>add a new workflow<\/a> for budgets specific to your organisation<\/a>.<\/div>\r\n
