This popup<\/a> form can be accessed via the feature view page<\/a> \"Edit<\/a>edit button in the top header area, as shown in Figure 1. Alternatively you can access the edit popup form via the features<\/strong> tabbed view at the release<\/a> or product<\/a> view pages, shown in Figure 2.\r\n

This popup is shown in Figure 3 and is used to edit an existing feature<\/a> on the selected release<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

Release:<\/th>\r\nThis read-only<\/em> field shows which release the feature is allocated to.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Reference*<\/em><\/sup>:<\/th>\r\nUse this field to enter or edit the unique reference for your feature. If you enter a prefix and end it with one or more zeros, e.g. F00 then you can click on the \"Reference<\/a>“Find next reference” button to search for the next available reference number with the same prefix and number of digits.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n*<\/em><\/sup>The reference field is mandatory, but all others are optional. The reference must be unique across the whole product.\r\n

Tab breakdown<\/h4>\r\nThe following information provides a breakdown of each of the tabbed views that may be available for you to adjust the feature’s details under each section.\r\n

Figure 4 – Details tab<\/strong><\/p>\r\nThe details <\/strong>for a feature can be adjusted by clicking on the tab indicated in Figure 4 above. Each of the fields available to be customised in this tabbed view are described in the following table:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Description:<\/th>\r\nEnter or edit the description of the feature here.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Estimated effort:<\/th>\r\nUse this field to manually set or change the estimated effort for this feature.\r\nNOTE:<\/em> This field will only be available if you have not set resource pools for the release. If you have set the resource pools then the effort will be added up from the resource estimates for this feature.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Estimated cost:<\/th>\r\nUse this field to manually set or change the estimated cost for this feature.\r\nNOTE:<\/em> This field will only be available if you have not set resource pools for the release. If the resource pools are set then the cost will be added up based on the resource estimates and the rates set for the corresponding roles.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Priority:<\/th>\r\nYou can specify or change the priority for the feature here.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Owner:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to allocate or change this feature to a particular user.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n

Figure 5 – Resource pools tab<\/strong><\/p>\r\nThis tab is shown in Figure 5 above, and will only be available if there are roles defined for the release, product, programme or organisation.\r\n\r\nThis tab includes fields for each defined role in which you can set or change the size of that particular resource pool. If you set a pool to 0 or empty then it will not be included for the features of this release.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nOnce you are happy with your entries click the “Update feature<\/strong>” button at the bottom of the form. This will update the feature with the details that you supplied.\r\n\r\nClick the “Cancel” button if you no longer want to update the feature.<\/div>\r\n
