This popup<\/a> form can be accessed via the defect view page<\/a> \"Options<\/a>options menu in the top header area, as shown in Figure 1. Alternatively you can access the \"Delete<\/a>delete popup form via the defects<\/strong> tabbed view at any of the parent asset view pages (e.g. \"Programme<\/a>programme<\/a>, \"Project<\/a>project<\/a>, \"Product<\/a>product<\/a>, \"Releaserelease<\/a>,\"Test test run<\/a> etc), shown in Figure 2.\r\n

This popup is shown in Figure 3 and is used to delete an existing defect<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

Figure 3 – Delete defect form<\/strong><\/p>\r\nThis form has the following read-only<\/em> fields:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Asset fields:<\/th>\r\nWhich asset the defect was added on. This may be made up of a number of fields depending on how low a level this defect was added at.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Number:<\/th>\r\nShows the unique number for this defect.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Type:<\/th>\r\nShows type for the defect, if a type was assigned to this defect.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Title:<\/th>\r\nShows the short title for this defect.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Description:<\/th>\r\nShows a longer description for this defect.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Module:<\/th>\r\nShows the module the defect was detected on.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Version:<\/th>\r\nShows the version of the system or module being tested.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Build:<\/th>\r\nShows the build of the system or module being tested.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Symptoms:<\/th>\r\nLists any particular symptoms of this defect.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Severity:<\/th>\r\nShows the severity of this defect.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Priority:<\/th>\r\nShows the current priority of this defect.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Notes:<\/th>\r\nLists any technical notes for this defect.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Origin:<\/th>\r\nShows the origin of this defect.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Owner:<\/th>\r\nShows the current owner of this defect.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\nIf you are sure that you want to delete this defect then click on the “Delete defect<\/strong>” button at the bottom of the form.\r\n\r\nWarning:<\/em> When you delete a defect then all of the \"Actions<\/a>actions, \"Attachments<\/a>attachments and \"Comment<\/a>comments within that defect will also be deleted.\r\n\r\nClick the “Cancel” button if you no longer want to delete the defect.<\/div>\r\n
