This popup<\/a> form can be accessed via the \"Add<\/a>add menu in the\u00a0top header area of the\u00a0selected\u00a0asset<\/a> view page (e.g. \"Contact<\/a>organisation<\/a>, \"Programme<\/a>programme<\/a>, \"Project<\/a>project<\/a>, \"Subproject<\/a>sub-project<\/a>, or \"Change<\/a>change request<\/a>), as shown in Figure 1. Alternatively you can access the \"Add<\/a>add popup form at the bottom of the Risks<\/strong> tab at these same view pages, as shown in Figure 2.\r\n

This popup is shown in Figure 3 and is used to add a new \"Risk<\/a>risk<\/a> for the selected parent asset.<\/p>\r\n

Parent asset:<\/th>\r\nThis read-only<\/em> field shows which organisation, programme, project, sub-project or change request you are adding this new risk to.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Reference*<\/em><\/sup>:<\/th>\r\nUse this field to enter a reference<\/a> for your risk. If you enter a prefix and end it with one or more zeros, e.g. RISK_00, then you can click on the \"Reference<\/a>“Find next reference” button to search for the next available reference number with the same prefix and number of digits.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Category:<\/th>\r\nUse the provided drop-down list to select a category for this new risk.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
(New category):<\/th>\r\nThis field will only be available if you have selected the “Add a new category” in the Category<\/strong> field above. Here you can add a new category for this new risk to belong to.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Title:<\/th>\r\nEnter a short title for this new risk here.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Description:<\/th>\r\nEnter a longer description for this new risk here.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Implications:<\/th>\r\nEnter any implications if this new risk should become a reality.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Likelihood:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to select an estimated probability that this risk will occur.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Consequence:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to select an estimated impact on the project it will have should this risk occur. The probability is multiplied with the impact to calculate the overall risk factor associated with this risk.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Proximity:<\/th>\r\nSelect the date that indicates how far away this risk is from occurring. You may manually enter the date using one of the date formats<\/a>, or you can choose the date using \"choose<\/a>calendar control<\/a>.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Strategy:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to select the management strategy for this risk.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Controls:<\/th>\r\nEnter any existing controls in place for this risk.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Treatment plan(s):<\/th>\r\nEnter any details of plans to mitigate this risk. You can also add an action list to this risk once you’ve added it to actively manage the mitigation efforts.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Post mitigation likelihood:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to select an estimated probability that this risk will occur even after the treatment plan(s) has been executed.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Post mitigation consequence:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to select an estimated impact that this risk will have even after the treatment plan(s) has been executed.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Owner:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to select the \"icon_user\"<\/a>user<\/a> who has the overall responsibility for resolving or managing this risk from the list of users provided.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Workflow:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to select the applicable \"Workflow<\/a>workflow<\/a> for this risk. This field will only be visible if you have access to any Risk workflows.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Add more risks:<\/th>\r\nLeave this check box selected if you’d like to keep the form open and add more risks to this parent asset after this current risk has been created.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n*<\/em><\/sup>The reference is mandatory, but all others are optional.\r\n\r\nNOTE: If you accidentally try to add a risk with the same reference as an existing risk in your project then you will get a warning message.\r\n\r\nOnce you are happy with your entries click the “Add risk<\/strong>” button at the bottom of the form. This will add this new risk with the details that have been supplied.\r\n\r\nThe new risk can be viewed in a number of locations, including the Risk<\/strong>s<\/strong> tabs at the parent asset’s view page, as shown in Figure 4. Alternatively you can view the new risk from the parent asset’s dashboard<\/strong> in the Open Risks<\/strong> dashlet, as shown in Figure 5. The addition of this new tab will also be incorporated into the #Risks<\/strong> dashlet at this same parent asset’s dashboard, as shown in Figure 6.\r\n
