This popup<\/a> form can be accessed via the \"Add<\/a>add menu in the top header area of the\u00a0\"Project<\/a>project<\/a>\u00a0or \"Subproject<\/a>sub-project<\/a> view pages, as shown in Figure 1. Alternatively you can access the \"add<\/a>add popup form at the bottom of the Test cases<\/strong> tab at these same view pages, as shown in Figure 2. You may also add a \"Test<\/a>test case<\/a> to an already existing test case or folder listed in the Test cases<\/strong> tab via the \"Actions<\/a>actions column menu, to create a hierarchy of test cases, as indicated in Figure 3.\r\n

This popup is shown in Figure 4 and is used to \"Add<\/a>add a new test case<\/a> for the selected asset<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

Figure 4 – Add test case form<\/strong><\/p>\r\nThis form has the following fields:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Parent asset:<\/th>\r\nThese read-only<\/em> fields show the \"Contact<\/a>organisation<\/a>, \"Programme<\/a>programme<\/a>, project and (if applicable) sub-project levels and the lowest field indicates which asset this test case is being made for.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Reference*:<\/th>\r\nThis mandatory field is used to specify a reference<\/a> for this new test case, e.g. TC_001. The reference must be unique within your project or sub-project. If you click on the \"Reference<\/a>“Find next reference” icon button next to the reference field then the system will find the next available reference number. For example if you enter the reference TC_000 then the system will try TC_001, TC_002 etc until it finds an available value.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Title*<\/em><\/sup>:<\/th>\r\nEnter the title for this test case here. This would typically be the name of the \"Product<\/a>product<\/a> or solution that you want to evaluate against the \"Requirements<\/a>requirements<\/a> of the asset. The title must be unique across the whole project or sub-project.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Pre-conditions:<\/th>\r\nEnter the pre-conditions for this new test case here.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Description:<\/th>\r\nEnter a description of this new test case here.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Workflow:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to select the applicable \"Workflow<\/a>workflow<\/a> for this requirement. You can define your own workflows if you do not want to use the system default workflow, or you may select the ‘None’ option if you do not want to assign a workflow to this new test case.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Add more:<\/th>\r\nSelect this check box if you’d like to keep this form open and add more test cases to this asset once the current test case has been created.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\nOnce you are happy with your data, click the “Add test case<\/strong>” button at the bottom of the form. This will add the new test case with the information that has been supplied.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe new test case can be viewed in the Test cases <\/strong>tab asset listing at the parent asset’s view page, as shown in Figure 5. The addition of this new tab will also be incorporated into the Test case overview<\/strong> dashlet at this same page, as shown in Figure 6.\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n
