This popup<\/a> form can be accessed via the \"Add<\/a>add menu in the\u00a0top header area of the\u00a0selected\u00a0asset<\/a> view page (e.g. \"Project<\/a>project<\/a>, \"Subproject<\/a>sub-project<\/a> or \"Change<\/a>change request<\/a>), as shown in Figure 1. Alternatively you can access the \"Add<\/a>add popup form at the bottom of the Requirements<\/strong> tab at these same view pages, as shown in Figure 2. You can add a requirement to a folder also listed in this table, or another requirement that is listed to create groups or hierarchies of requirements via the \"Actions<\/a>actions column menu of the Requirements<\/strong> table, as shown in Figure 3.\r\n

Parent asset:<\/th>\r\nThis read-only<\/em> field shows which asset you are creating this requirement for.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Reference*<\/em><\/sup>:<\/th>\r\nThis mandatory field is used to specify a reference<\/a> for the requirement, e.g. REQ_001. The reference must be unique within your project. If you click on the\u00a0\"Reference<\/a>“Find next reference” then the system will find the next available reference number. For example if you enter the reference SEC_000 then the system will try SEC_001, SEC_002 etc until it finds an available value.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Category:<\/th>\r\nThis drop-down list can be used to select a category for this new requirement.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
(New category):<\/th>\r\nThis field can be used to add a new category to assign this requirement to. This field will only be available if you have selected the “Add a new category” option of the drop-list provided in the Category<\/strong> field above.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Description:<\/th>\r\nYou can add a short description of this requirement here.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Priority:<\/th>\r\nEnter a priority for this requirement here. This priority can be used when sorting requirements in lists.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Weighting*:<\/th>\r\nAssign a weighting to this requirement here.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Allocated to users:<\/th>\r\nYou may select<\/strong> multiple \"icon_user\"<\/a>users<\/a> to have this new requirement allocated to them by holding the CTRL or SHIFT keys and clicking on the name of the additional user(s). To de-select<\/strong>, click on the highlighted name while still holding the CTRL or SHIFT keys so as not to lose all other selected users.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Allocated to roles:<\/th>\r\nYou may select<\/strong> multiple \"Group<\/a>roles<\/a> to have this new requirement allocated to them by holding the CTRL or SHIFT keys and clicking on the name of the additional role(s). Add more requirements:<\/th>\r\nLeave this check box selected if you want to add more requirements to this parent asset once the current requirement has been created.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n*<\/em><\/sup>The reference and weighting fields are mandatory, but all others are optional.\r\n\r\nIf you accidentally try to add a new requirement with the same reference as an existing requirement for your project then you will get a warning message.\r\n\r\nOnce you are happy with your entries click the “Add requirement<\/strong>” button at the bottom of the form. This will add a new requirement with the details that you supplied.\r\n\r\nThe new requirement can be viewed in the Requirements <\/strong>tab asset listing at the parent asset’s view page, as shown in Figure 5.\"\"<\/a>\r\n
