This popup<\/a> form can be accessed via the project view page<\/a> \"Edit<\/a>edit button in the top header area, as shown in Figure 1. Alternatively you can access the \"Edit<\/a>edit popup form via the \"Actions<\/a>actions column menu<\/strong> of the Programmes & Projects<\/strong> tab of the parent asset view page (e.g. organisation or programme), as shown in Figure 2.\r\n

Section breakdown<\/h4>\r\nThe following information provides a breakdown of each of the section views that may be available for you to set the project’s details under each section.\r\n

Each of the fields available to be customised in this section view are described in the following table:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Reference:<\/th>\r\nYou can edit the reference number for your project here. If you enter a prefix and end it with one or more zeros, e.g. P_00, then you can click on the \"Reference<\/a>“Find next reference” button to search for the next available reference number with the same prefix and number of digits.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Description:<\/th>\r\nYou can add or edit the short description of your project here.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Project type:<\/th>\r\nSelect or change the project type from this drop-down list.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
(New project type):<\/th>\r\nIf you have selected the “Add a new defect type” option in the Project t<\/strong>ype<\/strong> field above, then this field will be visible. Use this field to enter a new project type for this project.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Project code:<\/th>\r\nYou can add or edit the code for your project here. The project code will be prefixed to the reference fields for certain asset types, for example risks.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Purchase order number:<\/th>\r\nYou can add or edit the purchase order number for your project here if it applies.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Default GL number:<\/th>\r\nThis general ledger number will be used as the default when adding new tasks to the project.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Start date:<\/th>\r\nYou manually enter or change the date or use \"choose<\/a>calendar control to set a new start date for the project in this field. The start date will be used as the start month for budgets.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Go live date:<\/th>\r\nYou manually enter or change the date or use \"choose<\/a>calendar control to\u00a0set a new estimated go live date for the project in this field.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
End date:<\/th>\r\nYou manually enter or change the date or use \"choose<\/a>calendar control to\u00a0set a new estimated end date for the project in this field.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Budget intervals:<\/th>\r\nUse this field to set or change the number of budget months you want to include for this project.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
RAG Status:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to set or change the Red\/Amber\/Green status for this project.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Manager:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to select or change the manager for this project.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Owner:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to select or change the owner for this project.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Sponsor:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to select or change the sponsor for this project.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Approved:<\/th>\r\nSelect this check box to indicate that this project has been approved.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Archived:<\/th>\r\nSelect this check box to indicate that you want this project to be archived.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Workflow:<\/th>\r\nSelect or change the applicable \"Workflow<\/a>workflow<\/a> for this project. You can define your own workflows if you do not want to use the system default workflow.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n

\"Portfolio<\/a>Portfolios<\/h4>\r\n

\"portfolios<\/a>Figure 5 – Portfolios section view<\/strong><\/p>\r\nThis section will only be visible if you have the necessary permissions and there are any portfolios defined for your organisation, assigned to projects.\r\n\r\nUse this section to select or change the portfolios that this project belongs to from the list. You may select multiple portfolios by holding the CTRL or SHIFT keys and clicking on the name of the additional portfolio(s). To de-select, click on the highlighted name while still holding the CTRL or SHIFT keys so as not to lose all other selected portfolios.\r\n

\"Indicators<\/a>Indicators<\/h4>\r\n

\"indicators<\/a>Figure 6 – Indicator section view<\/strong><\/p>\r\nThis section will only be visible if you have the necessary permissions and there are any indicators defined for your organisation, assigned to projects.\r\n\r\nYou can select or change the value for each of the indicators by selecting from the drop-down lists of each available indicator. If you hover over an option in these drop-down lists, you will be provided with a short description of the indicator value.\r\n

This section will only be available if you have the necessary permissions.<\/p>\r\n

From here, you can add a comma separated list of defect types, modules, versions and builds that will be available to any defects added to this project.<\/p>\r\nOnce you are happy with your entries click the “Update project<\/strong>” button at the bottom of the form. This will update the project with the details that you supplied.\r\n\r\nClick the “Cancel” button if you want to discard your changes.<\/div>\r\n
