This popup<\/a> form can be accessed via the \"Product<\/a>product view page<\/a> \"Add<\/a>add menu in the top header area, as shown in Figure 1. Alternatively you can access the \"Add<\/a>add popup form via the Releases<\/strong> tabbed view at this same page, shown in Figure 2.\r\n

This popup is shown in Figure 3 and is used to add a new \"Release<\/a>release<\/a> for the selected product<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

In Figure 3 above, the form has been broken down into three sections:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Section 1<\/th>\r\nThis section contains a selection of important top fields:\r\nOrganisation:<\/strong> This read-only<\/em> field shows which \"Contact<\/a>organisation<\/a> you are creating the release for.\r\nProgramme:<\/strong> This read-only<\/em> field shows which \"Programme<\/a>programme<\/a> you are creating the release in.\r\n<\/strong>Product:<\/strong> This read-only<\/em> field shows which product you are creating the release in.\r\nRelease*:<\/strong> This is where you put the release number, e.g. alpha or v1.0. The number must be unique within your product.\r\nAdd more<\/strong>: Select this check box if you’d like to keep the form open and add more releases.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Section 2<\/th>\r\nThese are the tabs that you can cycle through to edit each section of the release.When you navigate to a new tabbed view in this popup, any information entered in Section 3 from the previous tabbed view will be saved. This means you do not need to click on any buttons to save each tab, but can instead click on the Add<\/strong> button at the bottom of the popup when you wish to add your new release with the set details.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Section 3<\/th>\r\nThis information will change as you cycle through the tabs shown in Section 2, and the available fields will change accordingly. A breakdown of the field information for each tab is provided below.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n*<\/em><\/sup>The number field is mandatory, but all others are optional.\r\n\r\nIf you accidentally try to add a new release with the same number as an existing release for your product then you will get a warning message.\r\n

Tab breakdown<\/h4>\r\nThe following information provides a breakdown of each of the tabbed views that may be available for you to set the release’s details under each section.\r\n

Figure 4 – Details tab<\/strong><\/p>\r\nThe details <\/strong>for a release can be assigned by clicking on the tab indicated in Figure 4 above. Each of the fields available to be customised in this tabbed view are described in the following table:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Description:<\/th>\r\nYou can add a short description of your release here.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Planned release date:<\/th>\r\nThis date field can be used to set the planned release date for this release. You can use \"choose<\/a>calendar control<\/a> to select the date or enter the date into the text field manually.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Workflow:<\/th>\r\nUse this drop-down list to select a \"Workflow<\/a>workflow<\/a> for this release.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n

Any associated projects <\/strong>for a release can be assigned by clicking on the tab indicated in Figure 5 above.<\/p>\r\nIn this tab, you may use the tree navigation layout to select the any \"Project<\/a>projects<\/a> you would like to be associated with this release. You can show or hide levels or sub-levels by clicking on the \"expand<\/a>expand or \"collapse<\/a>collapse icons.\r\n\r\nSelect the name of your desired associated project but note that names with a\u00a0\"pink<\/a> cannot be selected.\r\n

\"Group<\/a>\u00a0Resource pools<\/h4>\r\n

\"\"<\/a>Figure 6 – Resource pools tab<\/strong><\/p>\r\nThis tab is shown in Figure 6 above, and will only be available if there are roles defined for the product, programme or organisation.\r\n\r\nThis tab includes fields for each defined role in which you can set the size of that particular resource pool. If you set a pool to 0 or empty then it will not be included for the features of this release.\r\n\r\nOnce you are happy with your entries click the “Add release<\/strong>” button at the bottom of the form. This will add a new release with the details that you supplied.\r\n\r\nThe new release can be viewed in the Release<\/strong>s<\/strong> tab at the product’s view page, as shown in Figure 7.\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n
