Once you are viewing the table you want to export, click on the grey <b>export to CSV icon<\/b> found at the bottom left of the table. This is shown in Figure 1.\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/csv_integration_1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ss_img alignnone size-full wp-image-7169\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/csv_integration_1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1163\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Figure 1 &#8211; Export CSV icon on a table<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<br>\r\nClick on this icon and the file should automatically be downloading for you. You can now <b>open<\/b> this CSV file in your desired application such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, Text Editors etc.\r\n<br>\r\n<br>\r\n<br>\r\n<h4 style=\"margin-top:0;\">Import tables from CSV<\/h4>\r\n\r\nYou can import a CSV file to the following tables: Actions, Assumptions, Benefits, Budgets, Change Requests, Contracts, Decisions, Dependencies, Features, Forms, Issues, Lessons, Milestones, Programmes, Projects, Risks, Roles, Advanced Estimates, Schedules, Users and Vendors.\r\n<br>\r\n<br>\r\nTo import a CSV file into Psoda, first you will need to <b>navigate<\/b> to the tab in which the table you want to import. Once you are viewing the table you want to import, click on the grey <b>import to CSV icon<\/b> found next to the add button at the bottom left of the table. This is shown in Figure 2.\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/csv_integration_2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ss_img alignnone size-full wp-image-7169\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/csv_integration_2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1163\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Figure 2 &#8211; Import CSV icon on a table<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<br>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/csv_integration_3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ss_img alignnone size-full wp-image-7169\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/csv_integration_3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1163\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Figure 3 &#8211; Import CSV popup phase 1<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\nChoose the CSV file from your computer you wish to import.\r\n<br>\r\n<br>\r\nFor the \u201cEncoding\u201d dropdown, different languages may use different encoding, for example UTF-8 and UTF-16 are commonly used. Make sure you that when you originally exported your CSV file from Excel, that you use the <b>same encoding option<\/b> in this encoding dropdown as well. Windows-1252 is the standard and default encoding used. Use this if you have not manually changed the encoding.\r\n<br>\r\n<br>\r\nThe \u201cdelimiter\u201d field can be used to <b>specify the delimiter<\/b> used in the import file between fields. Normally this would be a comma but it can be any character you prefer.\r\n<br>\r\n<br>\r\nThe \u201cheader row\u201d checkbox should be set if your import file <b>contains a header row.<\/b> Unset the checkbox if there are no header rows and you want to import the first row as a requirement as well.\r\n<br>\r\n<br>\r\nNormally your header row is the first row in the file. If you have anything above the header row, use the \u201cskip first n rows\u201d option to <b>skip the n number<\/b> of rows required.\r\n<br>\r\n<br>\r\nIf \u201cupdate existing\u201d is checked, this means that if there is an item with the same reference it will <b>update the original item<\/b> rather than creating a new item.\r\n<br>\r\n<br>\r\nPress the next button to move to the next step.\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/csv_integration_4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ss_img alignnone size-full wp-image-7169\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/csv_integration_4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1163\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Figure 4 &#8211; Import CSV popup phase 2<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\nThe second step allows you to <b>specify which columns<\/b> from the import file should go into which fields of the new asset. For example, the first field allows you to select which column to import into the reference field. The second field allows you to select the description column, and so on.\r\n<br>\r\n<br>\r\nIf you do not want to import a particular column from the file, just select the <b>&#8220;Do not import&#8221;<\/b> option from the list. You will be given an opportunity in the next step to specify default values for any fields you do not want to import.\r\n<br>\r\n<br>\r\nThe reference field <b>must be unique<\/b> for every requirement in your project so you cannot select not to import the reference.\r\n<br>\r\n<br>\r\nSelect the Next button to move to the next step.
