A look back at 2013

2013 in review: The Psoda bottle top logo

Written by Rhona Aylward

Rhona is Deputy Everything Officer at Psoda, where she does everything except code. After starting life as a microbiologist she moved into PMO leadership roles around the world before settling in New Zealand with her family.

I can’t believe how quickly the holidays have flown by – it feels like I’ve never been away! As the last blog of 2013 was predictions for 2014 I thought I’d make this one a year in review.

2013 was a great year for us here at Psoda. We grew our customer base significantly and achieved some important recognition by listing in the APAC Deloitte Fast 500; we were one of 40 Kiwi companies to make the list.

Other stand outs included our trip to Singapore to exhibit at Cloud Expo Asia and our very successful user community meeting in Wellington.

Some of the key product enhancements we made over the year are:

  • added a guided tour for new users
  • added a timesheet only licence
  • developed an interactive GANTT chart
  • added an option to re-run a report
  • added options to automatically calculate key indicators
  • added support for custom fields

Thank you to all of our customers for your ongoing support.

In 2013 we also increased our blogging activity to share our insights on running successful projects, programmes and portfolios, as well as our experiences growing a cloud-based software company from New Zealand. Here are our top 5 blog posts from 2013:

A lesson from space on keeping projects grounded
How to manage resources like an America’s Cup captain
6 PPM metrics you should be measuring (but probably aren’t)
How a Psoda internship helped launch my career
Rescuing a project in trouble

We are busy with our planning for this year and 2014 is shaping up to be just as exciting. Be sure to follow us on Twitter or subscribe to our newsletter for news on all things Psoda and updates on our latest product developments as we continue to improve how Psoda can help you succeed this year!
